  • New Rivet UK loco. Lets speculate

So rivetgames are making a new UK loco. I think we should start speculating. DTG have stated it is not steam so that rules out loads of locos.
It can't be the Class 484, as it would require a complete reconstruction of the Isle of Wight route, which then would might as well be sold as a new route with the 484. Class 700 could be logical. Joe at DTG left space in the BML timetable for the 700 to be made and it could also be layered to the SEHS. So leave speculations

700 seems logistic, but I dont see it, a DLC for BML, where gen 8 cant even play with layers, never mind the crashing, so seems doubtful, my guess could be a DMU somewhere, a pacer ( 142/143 ) maybe for tees valley? Remember DTG did try to change the formations but quickly reverted back after the players moaned about it, ideally I'd love a 158, I would only assume that could fit WCL.

I just grabbed popcorn, so go on please! 😌😂

But there are some interesting thoughts in here - not necessarily correct, but interesting. But who knows anyway. ^^

Only other opinion I have is the 484 for isle or wight, bu the route would need working on to raise the bridge, platforms etc.

I hope it's a class 380 or a Class 156 or any Scottish train for Cathcart. (Tell me if I am close rivet games 😉) although it would be cool to see something like a Class 170 because they are used everywhere and are great for liveries.

There is a fair chance it could be the 484, but maybe the "hint" was a wrong path to cover the real creation. However the opinions about the 484 are like day and night in the community.
I personaly would like the 484 a lot, but not in the way to just drop it on the island with a new timetable and thats it. IOW has a intresting history in the past.
To make this dlc intresting for me and probably also for many other players, Rivet could create a unique constellation of the iow eras. We have the island line from before the withdrawal of the 483, so they could make the changes on the route with the platform height, additional trackside, resignalling and tunnel construction, and make this way a recreation of iow 2022 with the 484.

IOW would just be perfect for Steam Era, Class 483 era, and modern 2022 Era. To bring the atmosphere in this case, dump the "new" modernized tube stock on the existing route would not be enough, or be just a waste of potential. Steam on IOW is a suggestion for a different dlc, but its just my honest opinion.

So lets see , at least i hope we get some more information in the upcoming stream. Rolling stock for ScotRail is also VERY welcome.

I would love a new train for Cathcart circle even if it was the class 303

Id like to see a HST in 1980's condition, it would involve a lot of rework from the original both graphically internally & externally as well as a whole new engine and sounds.

And it would sit well on WCL.

With the above image, the only logical answer, as much as I do not want to say this, is the 484. What on earth does a picture of potentially the isle of wright have to do with a new unannounced loco? Sounds fishy. 484

It’s an upgraded iOw with the class 484.

let’s just hope rivet don’t butcher it like they did with other dlc’s.

No need to be so harsh on Rivet Games.

I thought that West Cornwall was a good Dlc made well. Same with Luzern-Sursee
