Some point in the upcoming years I might pop up for the weekend although I'm thinking Edinburgh could be a good place instead then I could just get the train straight to GLC. When I've more-a-less made a plan or something I'll start a group chat with you and Derek and see what we can do. It'd be fun I reckon! Maybe go on some trains 385s and 43s and 380s while I'm there!Comment

Got a little plan. Tell me what you think. Get the ACL up to Glasgow Central (or wherever it stops) a bit of Trainspotting, make a dash to Queen St do more Trainspotting then get the 385 to Edinburgh get on a HST and go from there! Then make my way to whatever hotel I've got.
EDIT: Gonna do the first part but instead of going to Edinburgh I'm gonna get a hst straight from Queen St to Aberdeen then get a 158 somewhere and make my way back via Edinburgh.

my 5 best spotting shots from the first half of 2023
1 66737 on the alcans to Fort William driver gave us a good 2 tone
2 Avanti West Coasts 805001 and 805004 on test to Glasgow central from Oxley 805001 has its full interior though 004 has next to nothing
3 43277 on its first jaunt up to Scotland (one of the first Scottish trainspotters to see her
)
4 390155 using platform 11 at Glasgow Central quite rare as this was only extended for 225 sets the APT and the Caledonian Sleeper
5 finally 37884 soaking up the sun at Kilmarnock the driver was extremely sound and thrashed a lotAttached FilesComment
