HST - Towing with a class 37:
Brake continuity Test (Overcharge train pipes on the cl.37):
Technical note:
- With a freight wagon like the seacow or any other wagon with an "air brake hose only" coupled, the main reservoir of the HST gets empty because those wagons are not equipped with the yellow "reservoir equalizer hose" --> So towing like that would work for short time (in real just for clearing the mainline according to br manual)
- For towing over a long distance, the reservoir of the hst needs to be connected with the yellow hose, so its pressurized by the cl.37 compressor. So either couple a cl.66 with a buckeye coupler, or couple the mk1c for a buckey adapter will work for towing a long trip.
The cool thing: Works all perfect in TSW2, (Below the HST with empty Main Reservoir, braked by the cl.37 --> Uncouple the Seacow, and couple the 37 directly on the mk1c would charge it).
