We're excited to share that the Glasgow Suburban: Airdrie Extension is coming soon to Train Simulator Classic!

Developed by Iain Mackay, the Airdrie extension adds 9 miles to the Glasgow Suburban Northwest network, enableing to explore even more. This extension features a lot of rolling stock - included are the Class 66, the Class 67, the PCA Barrel Cement tank wagons and the Mk3 & Mk2E sleeper coaches in the Caledonian Sleeper Livery. 5 new career scenarios finish off this amazing bundle!

That'd be neat. Maybe they can include Glasgow Queen Street and its surroundings too, since that's already in the game.

Yes it will! 😌 It'll be available on our store as well, we'll send you a Steam key then (but you support us more than buying it directly from Steam - sounds weird, but is true).

I wish Rivet would finish other routes like correcting their West Cornwall route for TSW and make that good before attempting new stuff. Not impressed at all.

Nigel, we appreciate that you are very much into West Cornwall Local, but please note that this extension has been developed by Iain Mackay (as clearly listed in the post above).

According to one of the Steam reviews, the route extension is actually 27 miles long. However, the last two thirds have no scenery. Was this planned to be included as well or does it get added at a later date? Would've made the steep price more justified though, so I'll just wait for a sale in the meantime.

No plans to add this right now, Iain included this because he thought it'd a nice touch (eventually some folks might want to decorate it themselves).

Sorry to hear that! Keep this thought in mind for the next time you're about to buy an Xbox, the PC might be the better option. But I'm sure everyone has his own opinion about that PC / console topic. ^^

Yup. Thanks. I might have to get a pc soon though. I will certainly keep that in mind.
