Absolutely fantastic news about the patch and update!

Looks like this will be one amazing route, once it’s updated.

So everyone at Rivet, thanks for listening to the feedback, that’s excellent!

My only question is it too late to have an extended timetable as services between Edinburgh/Glasgow finish far too early? Same for the Alloa services? Or would that cause too many issues?

Also is the dispatch on a red getting fixed?

You mean that the trains should run later into the night?

And I'm not aware that it has been fixed, will check with our devs!

That’s correct, Jasper! They should run until at least 2300, not finish around 2130, especially the Alloa services.

Why is it there is a 3 car formation, a 4 car formation, a 8 car formation but no 6 car formation for Edinburgh to Glasgow in the scenario planner?

There's also no 7 car formation while we're at it. Any chance that could be patched in Jasper_Rivet ?

Express1217, it has been said sadly by the Devs that no services will have a 7 car formation. You would have to manually couple to another unit yourself if you wanted that formation.

Jasper_Rivet I know it’s blurry below but can we maybe see the actual carriage number and also local time when using services e.g 2354 time etc when using services

Also Jasper_Rivet the class 385 driver doors have privacy glass so can’t see in from
Outside has this been considered also?

It's the closest one to the Class 385 system except it's orange. You'd just need to change the colour.

It's almost certainly not as easy, but I love the idea. Will forward this to the team, but don't think this is going to happen. Sorry!

Considering that on 9th February Jasper informed us that the patch is almost ready, Rivet surely must be having some extra stuff getting baked in the oven since it takes so long to finish. At least I hope so =D

Jasper_Rivet, You just made my day! I'm going to restart my console until it see's the update. Then I'll update it and play it for a veerrryy long time. I've been waiting for this update for ages! I'm soo happy it's here! Thanks for it and good luck with your recording trip!

        • #99
          Agreed!

Jasper_Rivet this patch is absolutely amazing so thank you!

Dare I say it, this could now be my favourite UK route, I already loved it despite some of the issues, now they’ve been fixed, it’s a 9.5/10 out of 10 for me!

And even just a run with adverse signals coming out Edinburgh, fantastic!

My only criticisms are Edinburgh is still quite dark but I played a service at 1830 in March?

And also lack of services after 2100? Would adding more services be a game breaking issue?

Seriously though, everyone at Rivet thank you so much for listening to feedback! I’m going to have many many more hours fun playing this now! Well done!

I spawned walking at Edinburgh at 19:00 in march and it was nicely lit. But some more night time services would be nice as well. But yea, not a game breaking issue. This route is sooo much better now!

Many thanks for the compliments, much appreciated! 😊

Not sure about the station being dark (I couldn't reproduce it) and more night services, will forward this to the devs anyway!

        • Enjoying the patch - but one problem.

If you use a controller on the PC then pressing the right stick will toggle between the main cab view and TMS camera

          This is brilliant!

BUT the TMS screen buttons do not work if you "toggle" to the TMS camera in this way.

The TMS screen buttons DO work if you move between the four internal cameras in the "traditional" way, either use the keyboard button, or by holding down the right stick click the left D-pad.

So a fairly minor but slightly strange problem

Yea. I have a slight problem with the TMS camera as well....
Firstly, for some reason the TMS camera is labelled as head out meaning it's my default camera position. This shouldn't be the case. Really because there is no windows head out should be the camera on the outside of the train. And also, when I do switch to the TMS camera I cannot look around. I'm just staring at it. Same when I switch to the safety systems camera. Is this a TSW3 bug or an Edinbrugh to Glasgow bug? Can someone clarify for me?

We're aware that the TMS camera causes some problems on console (not as bad on PC). I've forwarded this to our devs, will let you know once I know more.

Nathan That's a Edinburgh - Glasgow bug unfortunately.

Ah. Okay. Hopefully it can get fixed at some point. But I have to say. This route is alot better now! I can't wait to see what rivet do next!

        • Thank you for the patch! I really appreciate a small things like one o´clock gun being implemented.

Just a little bit of feedback regarding lasting issues:

          1. AI trains without drivers.
          2. Alloa and Dunblane services - no PIS, no TMS annoucment "This train is for Dunblane/Alloa"
          3. Noticed a report of ongoing issue with no rain/snow accumulating on the front window under speed, didn´t tested a rainy/snowy run myself yet though.

Yes. The no anouncements for Dumblane/Alloa services has been a pet hate of mine since it came out. That's why I only do service from Dumblane/Alloa or Between Edinburgh and Glasgow.

And thanks for sharing the feedback with us, have forwarded to the team!

        • Overall the patch is great, but what have you done to the brakes? Yeah they probably were on the weak side but now in my opinion you've gone too far the other way just to appease a vocal minority who expect trains to stop on a sixpence.

See, that's kinda the problem. Everyone has a different subjective feel about what is right or wrong with it - some say it's better now, some say it's worse. Not sure we'll touch it again thb! 😅🫠

        • It's a great update but here are some things that haven't been fixed that I'd like to see fixed.
          1. A.I trains not displaying PIS
          2. No smart PIS
          3. No anouncements for Dumblane or Alloa services
          4. Not able to use anouncements when spawned walking or continuing on foot.
          5. Gaurds pannel buttons aren't accurate
          6. Not real ScotRail anouncements (hopefully you can get these when your on your recording trip.
          7. Cannot look around when on the TMS screen camera mode.
          8. DAS always displaying Advice not Available. (It could change to slow down when there is a red signal ahead, say caution when a yellow signal is ahead and say clear when a green signal is ahead).
          9. Carriage door sounds (interior doors between Carriages) are re-used from Cathcart Circle and are not accurate.
          10. Passengers sitting side ways. (Not sure if this has or hasn't been fixed. Please let me know.)
this is from a scale of 1 being most annoying to 10 being least anoying.

          • THANK YOU for finally correcting the AI-timings! (though I did spot one at one of the Class 314 Railtours) It's been a buzzkill for some of us, so it's great to be ironed out now. Will this also be present in the upcoming WCL Steam Railtour Add-on and the other passenger services?

On a side note, the setup time still seems to be 1 minute. That's a bit short if you want to setup safety systems and TMS properly. Any chance it can be increased to 2 minutes?

Realisticly, I don't think we'll change the setup time, because it invovles a lot of work tweaking the times individually. Will ping the devs about it anyway!
