    Hello everyone,

we're happy to share more details on the upcoming West Cornwall Local add-on we're working on for Train Sim World 2:
Previously, the route was announced going from Penzance to Truro. We are more than happy to state that we're extending the route to St. Austell to provide more gameplay possibilities.

We'll include the Class 150/2, as already announced. We'll include more rolling stock with it, but we're not ready to announce it yet. Follow us on social media or sign-up for this forum, so you don't miss any news!

If you have any questions, just drop them below! 😄

Hi is the HST and/or the 150/2 in GWR green or an older livery, like FGW?

I am really excited for the route though because the st Ives scenery is breathtaking!

Really excited to see the route being extended by another 14.5 miles. Personally, I would've preferred the inclusion of the Falmouth Branch Line as it would've fitted better with the name of the route. But I'm still really happy to see the route being extended to a respectable 44 miles.

Before getting too excited however, how certain is it that the final product will actually be this long? I really don't want this route to suffer from the same pain as Riesa - Dresden. It'd be disappointing for both the players and the devs.

I agree, it would be an absolute catastrophe for rivet. This route is their one chance to win back tsw players

I am genuinely intrigued by the decision to go to St Austell, rather than Par in your extension?

Those extra few kms would give you St Blazey depot?

The biggest disappointment is that your not heading to Falmouth to keep it "west cornwall", you have the 150/2 the beast that uses the branchline.

Is it because you can play with the single track element at Burngullow to keep players on their toes?

Either way, I am excited and look forward to seeing what you produce. At least you now have to do the two viaducts over Truro and get the Cathedral in.

            Looking forward to it

            D

              Were Pacers on this route?

For about 6-12 months before being sent north because they couldnt cope with the bends..

So depending on which time period they choose. There is a tiny % chance of it being a pacer!

Hey guys. As of now, this route will most certainly 100% not be GWR. Then again, whats stopping you from Livery Editing the 150/2 into GWR Green and a HST possibilly into GWR green. This route I think will be in the Late BR era or Early Great Western Trains Period

from Jasper_Rivet on the other page which is closed "Well, there is a benefit from going to St. Austell. We're rebuilding it as it was before 2000 - and St. Austell had a few more tracks back then, which allow Gameplay possibilities. That's the main reason."

Interestingly St Austell had less tracks...it was single line between Burngullow and near Truro.

If you are doing the Burngullow branch towards Parkandillack yes granted that will give you more gameplay possibilities. But you have stated on twitter that you are not...

The motorrail platform at St Austell was last used in the 90's? But we are the wrong end so it would literally be a shunting operation?

Yes there was a goods yard?

Really interested in what you produce

                  Hi Dave,

I informed myself properly now and can explain why and what we'll be having. Sorry for any confusion caused. Just keep in mind, the route will be set around the early 1990s.

With the extension to St. Austell, we have a few things going on (and this is how we're developing it):
                  • Yes you're right, the line is single track between Burngullow and somewhere near Probus. We'll have that single track section.
                  • In St. Austell, we won't have the motorrail platform - only the two little stumps left there. But we'll have the siding up north towards London, which will allow for passenger trains to move in there, change ends and the leave toward Truro again.
                  • We won't have the depot in St. Austell, that one was abandoned a few years ago already.
                  • But we will have the (china clay?) factory near Treewon, which will allow a lot more gameplay for freight trains.

I hope I could get you guys a better idea of what we're working on at the moment. 😄

Are we getting HST? Please HST. Maybe some sleeper services. It is good that rivet is trying longer routes

In the picture at the top, there is a train that ressembles a Mark 3 coach

another question is that are you 100% sure that there will be another loco? Becuase I’m starting to think only the 150/2 will be included.

Based on what? Impatience? Do you think they should promise us something that they have not yet set in stone? because you know how that worked out for DTG with Reisa-Dresden.

Well not impatience I’m just worried about it only including 1 loco that’s all
