The route looks brilliant- but unfortunately the pricing is a bit too expensive(£24.99 for 16 miles of track and one loco, two things to haul!)- £20.00 would be more suited. i ackowlege the tremendous effort put in, but unfortunately sony and microsoft limit the amount of sales you can put on, meaning that it will rarely go on discount.

We're sorry to hear that, but we created a route almost from scratch, with one loco, one passenger coach in two variants, a baggage car & a wood wagon. We also had to make new catenary, a new signal system and so much more.

And trust me, the route will be a lot of fun to drive, especially the Chur area is really cool!

Hello Jasper! Regarding the pre-order I have two questions:
        1. If I order the route from your homepage, will I receive a steam key to activate the dlc or how does this work exactly?
        2. I have a voucher from you from last year's survey. Can I use that in combination with your pre order discount?

I would rather order from your homepage to reduce the cuts steam takes from you, but I don't know how this works since so far I bought everything through steam.

        Thank you!

Litty Hi, it's Michele here Giving Jasper a break lol - so number 1 - yes, that is exactly how it works. You will receive a Steam key to activate. And 2, you sure can use that voucher on top of the discount!

Hi Michele! Thank you so much for the response. I really loved the pictures you have shown and appreciate the "behind the scenes" videos that you upload on YouTube.
Looking forward to experience this route!

      Hi!
Just read the Dovetail live article, and I read this at the station of Litzirüti:
”and if you are feeling brave take on the hilly hike to Arosa and follow the railway on foot.”
Does that mean we have a hiking path from Litzirüti to Arosa, or is that meant as a “you can walk on the tracks”?

Would be nice to have a "Bahnerlebnisweg" for some future Swiss route. I know this is a train sim, but watching trains is one of the best ways to enjoy trains.

OK Jasper, do it for the next Swiss route. I really loved the walk around the lake in Arosa.

So I just watched the new video about the loco, and that looks unbelievable awesome! Really, really great work has been done here!
But I was wondering about one thing: Around minute 11:20 Matthew talked about (and had shown) a sheet of “decals” and stuff, which are very important for the locos obviously. And since the RhB has a large number of advertisement locos, I would love to repaint some of them with the livery editor. But: Because you only got 300 layers there, there would be no chance to make a realistic repaint and add the details. So what I wanted to ask:
Is there ANY possibility to bring these Decals from the sheet at 11:20 into the livery designer? That would be the (as we call it in Germany) “non plus ultra”, and you could look forward to many many nice repaints ;D

You mean that you would like to have the RhB branding assets as a seperate sticker in the livery editor?
You can see which ones are already on the loco on the attached screenshot.

        Cheers,
        Jasper

          exactly what I wanted
lovely, hated to not have small numbers and so on on the other locomotives in the editor, but in that case it is made way better!
Rivet is setting new standards here!

Glad I could help! These are pre-installed on the loco & you can't change them, just in case this matters. We don't have RhB branding on the locomotive in the livery editor.

The Arosa Line is looking great! I just have one question about the loco:
Will the cab be fully functional? My immersion is often taken away when there are switches or buttons that are modeled but I can't interact with them. Even if it is a function that doesn't affect the experience overall like a heater or demister, little details like those are important when I play.
Other than that, I'm looking forward to the release.

Edit by Jasper_Rivet: Moved your post into the official Arosa Line topic.

Thanks for your compliment, much appreciated!

Yes, the cab is fully working - with exception of the FIS systems. My highlight: The little animation for the folding mirror, that just looks cool.

I don't know, if an AI will stop if you pressed the "Request Stop" button though...
Hi, it was already a while ago that you said something about the "request Stop" button, have you got maybe a small update about this. If it will also work on AI...

Pity the do not interact with AI trains. It would be nice if we could use first person mode, push the request stop button at the platform and enter a train, eventually taking control. It does not prevent me from buying the route, but .... how nice it could have been ...

No, the request stop lights will only light up if you press the button at the station. The problem with having them light up randomly in service mode is that the service mode is simulated in advance - and we can't simply add random elements to it (for now, this might change in the future!).

You still can wait for an AI train and then get on board, they're stopping at the stations they should.

Hello, I have a little question:
Will there be fog in the Arosa region? The reason why I aks this is, that there's a lot of fog in real life, especially in the summer months.
In this video from 2019, you can see the fog and that it slowly disappears behind the station of Litzirüti:

I know, the DLC releases in about a week and you can't really change anything but this little detail could be added in an update. (if you haven't made it already)

              Hi RedCraft98 ,

thanks for the lovely video, crazy to see how quick the fog disappears. I assume it's the train leaving the cloud he was stuck in?

Neither will we have that much fog or will it disappear though it our recreation for Train Sim World 2, sorry! I attached a foggy summer morning screenshot, just from below Arosa. But it's a nice idea to think about! Thanks for the suggestion I would say!

              Cheers,

Will we get a .pdf with a checklist of all GE 4/4 II locos with their nicknames?. Bit like what DTG did with the Diesel Legends Class 52.
