We're proud to present: The romantic Isle of Wight, our first route for Train Sim World 2!

With only one remaining line (the so called Island Line), Isle of Wight has a rail network of about 8.5 miles. The trains are running from the iconic Ryde Pier station to Shanklin. The Island Line is electrified since 1967 with a third rail system. This leads us to the train that is included with the route: The iconic Class 483, an old subway train that used to run on the London Tube. This is due to the work that was done on the line, which resulted in a 10 inches to low ceiling for standard trains to clear on the Ryde tunnel.
We're bringing this interesting piece of railway to TrainSimWorld 2 soon, stay tuned!

Watch this space for further updates!

This definitely is an interesting route. Will the heritage railway be modelled as well? Would be nice with a class 08/09 and some freight wagons, even when steam is not yet feasible. Btw of course I really look forward tot he Arosa line in TSW2 ...

No, the heritage railway won't be in.

That's a pity. Maybe an additional DLC later to cover that part?

I can't promise anything on that, but we would love to have this romantic stream railway in some day...

Congratulations guys this looks amazing! I live near Brading Station (the station you've photographed above) I'm sure you're already aware of this but the second disused platform is distant from platform 1 (the station used to have a passing loop). Below is a photo from roughly the same angle that yours was taken.

I hope you do not take this as a complaint but as a helpful contribution to your fantastic route

Thanks for the heads up, read our statement about this further down here!

Hey Rivet, I assume the below station is pictured at Brading Station? If so, then you've got the modelling quite a bit off.

Your picture below shows a single track with both platforms far too close to each other. As seen in the real life picture, there should be a spacing as there was previously a track bed in the way (so essentially two tracks through the station). To this day the layout has remained the same.

Also, it looks like you have used a freshly laid tarmac texture type for both platforms. This is certainly not correct as the passing loop platform has been disused since 1988, so one would expect it to look disused with weeds, cracks in the tarmac amongst other things.

I hope you rectify these issues before release and do not hesitate to ask for any more advice and/or constructive criticism.

It's a screenshot from a bit of test route we used for development that won't be in the released product, but shouldn't have made its way into a released screenshot. However, it's so pretty it obviously slipped through

When it releases, Im gonna buy it for sure! Is there also the red livery what we see now available?

I can't wait to try this route, it is the oldest one in TS Classic and now comes to TSW and with the scenario planner you can use this one on the bakerloo to it seems.

Although I am not sure if the Steam railway is included, I think personally on the 'main' line.

Looking forward to it to drive it!

Hey, everyone! We are so glad to see your excitement and yes, it's a screenshot from a bit of test route we used for development that won't be in the released product, but shouldn't have made its way into a released screenshot. But it's so pretty it obviously slipped through... 😉

I am disappointed as this route has been accurately designed for TS2020 and it in my opinion less exciting than a new route not produced before. Sorry to be a kiljoy but IOW is quite boring as it has done before.

Will the heritage route at Havenstreet be issued too. With a steam engine, that would make me excited and want to buy it.

The Isle of Wight is among my favourite TS routes and seeing it remade for TSW2 gives me actual interest to purchase the game. I'm also glad Rivet is honest about the issue with Brading station. Hope to see more of the route. Can't wait! 😁

Love that you've chosen the 1937 stock. will be great fun to drive. Could we please have a 4car and 3 car to make into a 7car set to run on the Bakerloo line. Oh, obviously in london transport red livery, that would make my day

Class 483 only has motorcars with a cab, to create the full 1938 Stock set we would need a motor trailer and an unpowered trailer. Maybe these will come later, just like it did for the original TS with the London Underground Heritage Pack.

Looks brilliant! this route has always been one of the most enjoyable in TS so great to see it coming to TSW and even better to see that it's been done so well. I'll be interested to see how you manage the steam railway.

Really hoping to see the London Transport Red livery that the trains carried more recently, but don't let my needs dictate what you do

Brilliant job and well done to everyone involved, I look forward to getting my hands on it.

Great road! It's my favourite English line! Are you going to do all the liveries of the 483 (at least the 2 most important ones) ?
