Hi RudolfJan, we actually tried to answer the most reports possible (as you can see just above) and, just to ensure you, everything it's been written here has been forwarded to the developers. We are aware of most of the problems that have been reported by the users and the team is working on a patch that will solve them.

      Hi matteomo

Yse I can see that for this forum. I did not see any sign of any moderator reading the support forum, where also comments were posted regarding issues and wishes for improvement for IOW. So I was ask if any staff member is reading that forum as well.

Yes, we try to read as much threads as possible, so your voices don't go unheard!

I think there is an issue I have not yet seen reported. The stopping points at the stations look weird to me. I think they are targetting the end of the consist instead of the front. This makes you have to let trains stop outside the covered platform parts, or far from the exits. This not what I normamly expect from railway companies.

Thanks for the feedback. We'll forward it to the devs.

Hi RudolfJan , just to echo Matteo's reply that we are looking at everything - it's just been a ridiculously crazy month with the Isle of Wight launch, and the team still working on bugfixes and updates to the Isle of Wight, plus the upcoming Glasgow TS1 route, *and* the 204 being updated for TSW2, so please bear with us for another week or two and after that we should be a bit more responsive again - but we are reading/processing everything to factor in meantime! C.

        Hey folks!

We got some news for you regarding a first update for our Isle of Wight. The first update will start rolling out tomorrow (03.11.2020) at about 2 pm. Important: The update will download automatically when it becomes available. Players should allow at least 24 hours after restarting Steam for the update to appear and before contacting Customer Support.

        Patchnotes:
        • Fixed an issue that would allow players to interact with controls from outside the train.
        • Fixed an issue with the throttle jumper cable value that was being influenced when controlling the passenger saloon lighting.
        • Added arrival and departure times to Scenarios and Timetable Mode which also allows the player to get relevant medals.
        • Fixed an issue that would degrade the visual quality of buttons in some situations.
We're working on a second update as well, we'll let you know in more detail about it soon!

If you wrote a Steam review, we would be very happy if you would like to revise it after the update, should there be any reason to do so! Furthermore we are happy about all new Steam reviews, as they do help us a lot!

I like to hear this. So many people are giving you crap because of the problems and I think it's kind of unfair. I have hope in this route, I'm sure you guys can make it look and feel good. IoW to me is far more interesting than most of the generic modern trains available for this game, although I'm aware it's a really unpopular opinion.

You mention steam only and nothing about consoles , will the update apply to PS4 and Xbox?

Thanks for the update, the timetable times really work well. I see some people moaning about the times being too tight but they're actually not a issue for me, I've been ending up with good 30 secs early on most stations

Thanks, this is good to hear.
If you haven't done it yet, we'd appreciate an honest review on Steam.

          • I may be mistaken, but I think in timetable mode a train is missing. The official timetable shows that there is approximately an frequency of 2 services each hour in each direction. Driving time for the entire route is about 30 minutes. So, you need at leats two consists in active service. Because there is no hidden track, there should at least be an additional consist in the shed as a spare and to allow for maintenance. Probably you would need a fourth one for busy hours, so you can use double units.

I miss double unit drives, at least I did not see them till now at the timetable and I miss a spare. Can you please add these?

Thanks, I've made this note to the developers. I haven't seen anyone else report it.

          • Dear Rivet Team,

there is a performance issue if you turn on the passenger cabin lights at IOW. It's not only me, even other players have the same issues. The route is playable with 60 fps on a Radeon RX 560 but if you turn on the passenger cabin lights it goes down to 20-30 fps. This issue is on the IOW route only so please try to make it a bit better because night services aren't cool without these lights. I never saw something about this elsewhere so I'm writing in here and hope that there will be an update in the next months.

          • I can confirm the issue that a number of services are missing in Journey mode. The entries in the list are empty. If you click at them, there is no train and no schedule.

            • Thanks for the spot RudolfJan, it's something that we've already been told on another thread (see https://forums.rivet-games.com/forum...-isle-of-wight), but, just to echo what Michele said there, it has been passed to the developers and we'll try to fix that as soon as possible.

              • Hey folks,

we wanted to give you a quick insight for the next Isle of Wight update, that we already announced.
We're currently working hard on the update to make Isle of Wight even better, but this takes time, due to the way updates are developed and published in Train Sim World. That's why we don't expect the update to be available in the next month. Of course, we'll let you know here and on social media when we got any news, a release date or specific bugfix notes for it.

                We hope you'll understand.
