Bring the port of Aschaffenburg to life with Rivet Games Class 204!
With the Class 204, Rivet Games makes two debuts at once, which makes all of us proud: We are developing the first German diesel locomotive for the TSW and at the same time we are the first third party studio to develop for the TSW.
Behind today's locomotive number 204 hides the former class V100 East. It was developed in the former GDR in the course of a program that was to finally replace the steam locomotives that were still widely used at that time. Thus, in 1963, the development of a diesel locomotive began, which was to be able to take over light line service and heavy shunting service with an output of about 1000 HP. The result was a diesel locomotive that was produced more than 900 times and could be found throughout the entire GDR. Typical for the V100 is the middle driver's cab for fast and uncomplicated (shunting) operation as well as the special power transmission ratio using a starting converter and two marsh converters. In order to make the locomotive double traction capable, an electrically controlled injection process was used. With its top speed of 100 km/h, the locomotive was mainly used on the routes.
With the reunification of Germany, the locomotives were added to the Deutsche Bahn (DB) inventory under the designation BR 204. The maximum speed was reduced to 80 km/h because of "swinging up". It should be noted, however, that there was a wide variation of different test and trial locomotives, some of which are listed under other series designations.
With the class 204, we are bringing one of the most famous German diesel locomotives to TSW and bringing the port of Aschaffenburg and the industries in Lohr to life; shunting and assembling trains in Aschaffenburg and serving the port or supplying the industries in Lohr with new goods.
Erwecke den Aschaffenburger Hafen zum Leben mit der Rivet Games Baureihe 204!
Mit der Baureihe 204 gelingen Rivet Games gleich zwei Debüts auf einmal, die uns stolz machen: Wir entwickeln die erste deutsche Diesellok für den TSW und sind damit gleichzeitig auch der erste Drittanbieter, der für den TSW entwickelt.
Hinter der heutigen Loknummer 204 verbirgt sich die ehemalige Baureihe V100 Ost. Diese wurde in der ehemaligen DDR im Zuge eines Programms entwickelt, dass die damals noch weit verbreiteten Dampfloks endlich ablösen sollte. So begann 1963 die Entwicklung einer Diesellok, die den leichten Streckendienst und schweren Rangierdienst mit etwa 1000 PS Leistung übernehmen können sollte. Das Ergebnis war eine über 900-fach produzierte Diesellok, die in der ganzen DDR anzutreffen war. Typisch für die V100 ist der Mittelführerstand für schnelle und unkomplizierte sowie die besondere Übersetzung der Antriebskraft mithilfe eines Anfahr- und zweier Marschwandler. Damit die Lok doppeltraktionsfähig wurde, setzte man auf einen elektrisch kontrollierten Einspritzvorgang. Mit Ihrem 100 km/h Höchstgeschwindigkeit war die Lokomotive vor allem auf den Strecken anzutreffen.
Mit der Wiedervereinigung Deutschlands wurden die Lokomotiven unter der Bezeichnung BR 204 in den Bestand der Deutschen Bahn (DB) eingereiht. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wurde wegen “Aufschaukelns” auf 80 km/h herabgesetzt. Zu beachten ist jedoch, dass es eine weite Variation an verschiedenen Erprobungs- und Versuchslokomotive gab, die teilweise unter anderen Baureihenbezeichnungen geführt werden.
Mit der Baureihe 204 bringen wir eine der bekanntesten deutschen Diesellokomotiven in den TSW und erwecken so den Aschaffenburger Hafen und die Industrien in Lohr zum Leben. Rangiere und stelle Züge in Aschaffenburg zusammen und bediene den Hafen oder versorge die Industrien in Lohr mit neuen Gütern.
